Indonesia has firmly condemned Israel's actions, accusing it of undermining the ceasefire agreement by violating the initial terms. Israel unilaterally demanded an extension of the first phase of the ceasefire while avoiding discussions on the second phase, which had already been agreed upon.

"Blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza and using it as leverage in ceasefire negotiations constitutes a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights," stated Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as quoted from Kemlu.go.id, Monday, March 3, 2025.

The Foreign Ministry further called on the international community to exert pressure on Israel to immediately permit the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and resume the second phase of negotiations as per the ceasefire agreement. The ministry reaffirmed Indonesia's strong support for the Two-State Solution as the only path toward lasting peace in the region.

Meanwhile, in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his weekly cabinet meeting, revealed that he had held extensive security discussions with Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, coalition party leaders, and the negotiation team regarding the future of the ceasefire agreement.

Netanyahu stated that Israel decided to adopt a plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy, Steve Witkoff, which included a temporary ceasefire during Ramadan and the Jewish Passover celebrations.

"We are fully coordinated with President Trump and his team," Netanyahu said during the meeting, as reported by Yeni Safak, Monday, March 3, 2025.

However, Netanyahu's stance was not supported by all members of his government. Israel's Interior Minister Moshe Arbel expressed his support for the second phase of prisoner exchanges and the continuation of the ceasefire.
